The site was originally planned to provide information regarding consumer issues for the citizens / residents of Lichfield and the surrounding area.
The concept of the site is as a result of personal experiences during sixty odd years of personal, business, and working life etc.
The idea came to the forefront due to my recent involvement in litigation etc to claim compensation from employers, the hospital of “No Hope” for an unnecessary operation; financial institutions, a trade union, the local district council etc, etc, etc.
Throughout my life I like many have witnessed a dramatic decline in customer service and an equally dramatic increase in greed.
Greed is extremely prevalent in the political arena, financial institutions, and large corporations; in fact I honestly and genuinely believe it is prevalent throughout.
My mission statement throughout my business and working career was simply; “My quest is provide quality and service at its best”.
By giving quality and service the “pound notes” look after themselves; ethical and moral profits are made!
In politics, big business and the financial institutions, greed has overtaken service; in fact the words “customer service” no longer play an active part in these unethical, immoral institutions and monolithic organisations.
How are most of them making such large and truly immoral amounts of money in the present economic climate and worldwide depression; in my opinion they are all morally and ethically bankrupt.
I like most people during my busy life; would make a phone call. After navigating the call steering process and then meeting prevarication, procrastination, and obfuscation would more than likely give up and get on with life.
Since my enforced retirement, as a result of several life changing events which were beyond my control; caused solely and unreasonably by other people, I have fought back!
Over recent years I have taken action against, employers, financial institutions, local government, a trade union, two energy companies etc, etc, and recovered in the region of £18, 000.00 in compensation.
I have mounted action against the delivery of “junk mail” and have been successful on several occasions!
At this point in time I am in pursuit of two firms of solicitors, several financial institutions, and other organisations for compensation.
During this period I have had a steep learning curve; however, I now utilise legislation, etc against these organisations.
Throughout the period I have needed to research and acquaint myself with a great deal of everyday and obscure legislation, guidelines, codes of practice etc.
I do not intend to provide advice; I may express my opinion and provide guidance to what I deem to be relevant and useful information.
Gordon Brown, during the run up to the election stated that he wished to make society fairer!
I honestly and genuinely believe that there is compelling evidence that Gordon Brown, his cronies and a large proportion of politicians are responsible for making our society grossly unfair over and during recent governments.
There is legislation; there are regularity authorities; the Financial Services Authority and the Office of Fair Trading to name but two.
Then there are the various Ombudsmen, who from my personal experience lack the facilities and manpower to cope. The Financial Ombudsman is currently taking in the region of between six to nine months to investigate a complaint; this is apart from the period taken to investigate an appeal.
The information is currently taking approximately three to four months to investigate a complaint.
The Legal Aid system is virtually impossible to access; there scope is limited. It is possible to get help with debt; however you are simply referred to charitable organisations that unfortunately do not have the appropriate and applicable expertise and legal knowledge!
I will endeavour to begin updating the site on a regular basis as time dictates with my opinions and information that I feel may be of use.
As I have previously stated I do not intend to give advice, however if anyone wishes to raise a question or query, I will do my utmost to help anyone if possible.
